There are currently two Yarning groups running. They’re designed to be relaxed and informal, a way to get out, make new friends, share expertise and generally enjoy ourselves!
Yarning is a group of people who love yarn. We help each other with problems, techniques and patterns in a relaxing and sociable way over a drink (and the occasional cheeky cake!)
The groups are open to anyone who knits or crochets. Beginners who come with needles, yarn and pattern they want to make are welcome. We will help them get going are answer questions but there isn’t a chance to teach in detail.
There’s no charge to come along and join in but the venues host us at no charge so I do ask that you at least buy a drink to say thank you.
This group meets every two weeks from 1.30pm – 3.00pm at the Dog and Crook Pub in Colden Common.
We either gather in the pub’s conservatory (if it’s warm enough) or at a window table in the bar. Just buy a drink and come and find us.
If you’re nervous about coming in on your own just get in touch with me and I’ll meet you outside 🙂
We’re a friendly bunch and love meeting new friends. We also have a Facebook Group you can join.
If you need directions you can find a location map for the pub below.
The Dog And Crook Pub, 18 Brambridge, Colden Common, Eastleigh SO50 6HZ
Version 2 (V2) of Yarning takes place weekly on a Thursday from 1.30pm – 3.00pm at Naked Coffee in Southampton (for map see the “Creative Drop Ins” section).
We welcome all types of Yarn related crafts and you can find us downstairs.
Again, there’s no charge to attend but I do ask that you buy a drink to thank the cafe for hosting us.
I am always happy to answer questions about any of my craft groups. Just get in touch.
